Luxury in the Galápagos does not mean a 3,000-passenger ship with a casino. The park caps vessels at 100 guests, so the most expensive trips are small, quiet and built around the wildlife. What you pay extra for is space, service, inclusions and, on the best ships, a better itinerary.

Four names dominate the top of the market for 2027: Silversea, Celebrity, Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic and Aqua Expeditions. Here is how they compare on suites, what the fare covers and real price per night.

Quick Answer

Silver Origin (100 guests, from about $12,500 for 7 nights) is the most inclusive, Celebrity Flora (100 guests, about $8,200–$13,300) is the best value luxury pick, Lindblad’s Islander II (48 guests) and Delfina (16) suit active travelers, and Aqua Mare (16 guests, from about $11,500) is the most exclusive. Expect roughly $1,150–$2,100 per person per night.

1. What “Luxury” Means in the Galápagos

Same islands, same rules, very different experience on board.

Every licensed vessel visits park-approved sites with park-certified naturalists. Luxury operators differentiate on four things:

  • Suites. Larger cabins with verandas or panoramic windows, rather than portholes and bunks.
  • Inclusions. Drinks, gratuities, Wi-Fi, gear and sometimes flights, the park fee and Quito hotels.
  • Guide ratio. Smaller groups ashore than the park’s usual maximum of 16 per guide.
  • Itinerary. The top ships often reach remote western and northern islands, such as Fernandina and Genovesa, in a single week.

2. Silversea: Silver Origin

The most inclusive fare in the islands.

Silver Origin carries 100 guests in 51 suites with about 90 crew, so service runs close to one crew member per guest. Every suite has butler service, and the ship was purpose-built for the Galápagos. Seven-night loops from San Cristóbal typically visit Genovesa, Santiago, North Seymour, Fernandina, Isabela, Santa Cruz and Española, an unusually broad sweep for one week.

The fare includes unlimited champagne, spirits and wines, gratuities and all guided Zodiac and land excursions. Select “All-Inclusive Galápagos” departures add economy flights to the islands, two nights in Quito and an evening city tour.

Price: 2027 fares start around $12,500–$14,500 per person in the entry suite, about $1,800–$2,100 per night, rising past $30,000 for the top suites.

Ideal for: travelers who want everything handled and the widest itinerary. See our Silver Origin review.

3. Celebrity Cruises: Celebrity Flora

All-suite luxury with the best package value.

Celebrity Flora is a 100-guest, all-suite ship sailing 7-night Inner and Outer Loop routes round trip from Baltra. Most guests stay in Sky Suites with an “Infinite Veranda,” where the window wall opens up so the suite feels like an open-air terrace. Royal Suites run 559 sq ft, and the Penthouse Suite reaches about 1,288 sq ft including outdoor space.

The 7-night fare includes the national park fee and Tourist Card, all drinks, gratuities, unlimited Wi-Fi and snorkel gear, and naturalist groups are capped at 12 guests. Air is not included on the 7-night cruise, but 10- and 11-night packages add Quito hotels and Quito–Baltra flights.

Price: published 2027 suite fares mostly range from about $8,200 to $13,300 per person, or roughly $1,150–$1,900 per night, with late-August and September dates cheapest. A 2027 offer with the second guest at 50% off can sharpen that further.

Ideal for: couples who want luxury without Silversea pricing. Read our Celebrity Flora review.

4. Lindblad Expeditions: Islander II and Delfina

Expedition depth with a luxury finish.

Lindblad’s luxury play is National Geographic Islander II, a 48-guest super-yacht where every cabin is a suite. Guest Suites are about 280 sq ft with two panoramic windows, and Islander Suites start around 400 sq ft with a separate living room and butler service. From 2027 it sails Lindblad’s signature “Exploring Galápagos” voyage, which includes a hotel night in Quito or Guayaquil at each end.

For more privacy, National Geographic Delfina is a 16-guest catamaran with eight cabins, a whirlpool on the top deck and two naturalists, one a certified photo instructor.

Price: Islander II Guest Suites list at about £12,400 per person for the full package, roughly $16,000+, or about $1,800 per night including mainland nights. Delfina’s week in the islands starts near $9,940. Flights are extra.

Ideal for: active couples and families who want kayaking, photo coaching and Lindblad’s naturalist depth with suite-level comfort.

5. Aqua Expeditions: Aqua Mare

The closest thing to owning a superyacht for a week.

Aqua Mare is a 50-meter superyacht with just 16 guests in seven suites, roughly one crew member per guest and two naturalists. The Owner’s Suite is about 80 square meters. The sun deck has a six-person jacuzzi, and a water-level Beach Club lounge launches the twice-daily excursions. Menus are by Peruvian chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino.

Inclusions are generous for a yacht: the park fee and INGALA transit card, house wine and beer, wetsuits, kayaks, paddleboards, laundry and internet. Routes run 7 nights east or west, or 14 nights for the full circuit.

Price: starting fares run around $11,500 per person for 7 nights, about $1,650 per night, and many departures are “call for pricing” because suites sell out early.

Ideal for: honeymooners and groups chartering the whole yacht. See also our Galápagos honeymoon guide.

6. Worth a Look: Ecoventura

Luxury yacht feel for 20 guests.

Not in the headline four, but often compared: Ecoventura’s Origin, Theory and Evolve carry 20 guests each with an open bar, Wi-Fi and water toys included. 2027 rates are about $11,500 per person for a stateroom, or roughly $1,640 per night, and $23,000 for one of the two suites. The park fee, flights and tips are extra.

7. How to Choose Between Them

Match the ship to how you like to travel.

  • Want zero bills and the broadest route? Silver Origin.
  • Want luxury at the best price, with Quito packaged in? Celebrity Flora.
  • Want active days and expert photo help? Lindblad Islander II or Delfina.
  • Want privacy and a yacht that feels like yours? Aqua Mare.

When comparing quotes, add the costs each fare leaves out. A $1,000 cheaper fare without the park fee, tips and flights may cost more in the end. Our Galápagos cruise cost guide breaks down the extras, and you should budget for Galápagos travel insurance with strong evacuation cover on any of these trips.

Peak holiday dates on the 16-guest yachts often sell out 9–12 months ahead, so start early if your dates are fixed.

Luxury Galápagos Cruises FAQ

What is the most luxurious Galápagos cruise?

Silver Origin is generally the most inclusive, with butler service in every suite and drinks, tips and often flights included. Aqua Mare is the most exclusive, with only 16 guests on a superyacht, and Lindblad’s Islander II is the most luxurious option from Lindblad.

How much does a luxury Galápagos cruise cost per night?

Expect roughly $1,150–$2,100 per person per night for the entry suites on luxury ships and yachts, which works out to about $8,000–$15,000 for a 7-night cruise. Top suites can cost double that or more.

Is Celebrity Flora or Silver Origin better?

Silver Origin is more inclusive and usually reaches more remote islands like Fernandina and Genovesa in one week, but costs more. Celebrity Flora is often $2,000–$5,000 cheaper per person, already includes the park fee and has stronger package deals with Quito hotels and flights.

Are flights included on luxury Galápagos cruises?

Sometimes. Celebrity includes Quito–Baltra flights on its 10- and 11-night packages but not on the 7-night cruise, Silversea includes economy flights to the islands on select all-inclusive departures, and Lindblad and Aqua generally sell flights separately.

Do luxury Galápagos cruises include the national park fee?

Celebrity and Aqua Expeditions include the park fee and Transit Control Card. For Silversea and Lindblad, confirm on your specific departure, because inclusions vary by fare type.
